Don't Miss the Deadline to Enter the Schwartz for Chef Flavour Pairing Challenge at Hotelympia 2012

Once again McCormick is sponsoring the Schwartz for Chef Flavour Pairing Challenge at Hotelympia where chefs from all sectors of the industry will be showcasing their skills in front of a live audience, whilst competing for a highly coveted Salon Culinaire medal and showing off their flavour matching skills.

Herbs and spices are essential ingredients in unlocking flavour creativity and determining the character of a recipe and these prestigious open classes will be testing the best in the industry as the Schwartz for Chef Flavour Pairing Challenge will see teams of two chefs cook and present a two-course meal for two in just 45 minutes using two of the following pairings for 2012: Rosewater and Ginger, Sesame and Cumin, Bourbon and Pink Peppercorn, Green Tea and Rosemary, Grapefruit and Coriander, Yoghurt and Saffron.  Samples of Schwartz for Chef products are available to all entrants*.  Closing date for entries is 1st December 2011.

The winners this year will receive a ‘money can’t buy’ day to attend a McCormick Flavour Creation Session, to which they can bring up to 7 other people, to participate in a hands-on workshop where they will gain valuable insight into the innovative and creative use of herbs and spices. They will also receive an engraved trophy and their recipes will be featured as part of the Schwartz for Chef recipe collection for 2012.
