- 1 kg lean minced beef
- 250 g onion - chopped
- 1 green pepper – chopped
- 2 garlic cloves - crushed
- 1x400 g tin pinto beans – drained
- 800 g chopped tinned tomatoes
- 2 tbsp tomato puree
- 50 g Schwartz ® Fajita Seasoning
- 1 green chilli – thinly sliced
Procedure
- In a pan colour the beef with the onion, garlic and green pepper.
- Drain the fat, add the tomato puree and fajita seasoning and cook for a further 2 minutes.
- Add the tinned tomatoes and beans, mix thoroughly.
- Cook over a low heat until thickened and tender, about 1 hour.
- Sprinkle over the sliced green chilli and serve.
