Barbecued Cholula Sausage Rolls with a fresh cholula-spiked tomato relish
Ingredients
Sausage Rolls: | Serves 6
- Ready roll puff pastry
- 6 butchers sausages
- Cholula Hot Sauce
- Egg (for egg wash)
- Cumin Seed to sprinkle
Tomato Relish: | Serves 6
- Tomatoes
- Garlic
- Coriander
- Cholula to taste
Procedure
- Roll your puff pastry out onto some flour, and roll them out a bit thinner.
- Remove the skins from the butchers sausages and place down the middle of the pastry.
- Shake of cholula to your preference.
- Fold up the pastry ensuring that the seam side is faced down.
- Cover the top and sides of the pastry with the egg wash.
- Sprinkle cumin seeds on top with flavour.
- Snip the top with some scissors, and cut into bite size pieces.
- Set up your bbq, and cook the relish together.
- Separate the coals and cook the sausage rolls for 35-40 minutes at 180C
