Supercharge your sides with this sweet yet spicy Cattlemen’s BBQ Pit Beans. Easy to make and incredibly versatile, this side dish pairs perfectly with any BBQ food or can steal the show at breakfast with a BBQ and bean twist on Shakshuka.
In a roasting tin, add the oil and bacon, fry off until golden, add the chopped veg as well as the whole chillies, give it a good stir and pop the grill lid on. Once softened add in the spices, passata, dried chillies, beans, herbs and vinegar.
Finish off with the Cattlemen’s BBQ sauce.
Season well with Maldon salt and cook out for about 30 minutes until thick and rich.
Add a little more Cattlemen’s sauce if needed. Serve with any tasty BBQ food.
